We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) to join our client’s team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to patient care and demonstrate the ability to work effectively in various settings, including assisted living, home care, and nursing homes. As an RPN, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality medical care, ensuring patient comfort, and supporting their overall well-being.
As a Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) joining our client’s team, you will:
- Hold active RPN registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario and a valid Heart Saver Level CPR certification.
- Skillfully prioritize tasks and manage time while maintaining composure under stress.
- Assess and monitor patients’ health status, including vital signs and symptoms.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans based on patient needs.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Adhere to care plans and standards, promptly reporting any changes in residents’ conditions.
- Update care plans based on physician consultations and use computer skills to maintain records.
- Understand relevant Long-Term Care regulations, including the Fixing Long-Term Care Act, 2021, and OSHA requirements.
- Support a resident-centered care approach, delivering high-quality personal care.
- Collaborate with the care team, advocate for residents’ participation in decisions, assist with admissions, and manage hospital transfers.
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and nursing practices.
- Minimum 1 year of experience as an RPN.
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
- Proficient in pain management techniques and compassionate patient care.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative healthcare team.
- Experience in assisted living or nursing home environments is preferred.
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple patient needs efficiently.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and adherence to ethical standards in nursing.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $25.00-$27.00 per hour (negotiable based on experience)
Expected hours: 20 – 35 per week
